Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in where she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the most outstanding actress. She's fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother was a violinist She has a father who is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She spent four years as professor in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria is a Romanian Actress who was born on the 01st of April 1978, Iasi Romania. As an actress from Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the big screen in the television film of British Canadians Sex Traffic for which she took home the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut movie The actress will also remain in the memory of her performance in the Romanian Art Film 4 months 3 weeks, 2 days which earned her many accolades, among them her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu. It won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Copola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later had a prominent role in the 2014 film Fury in which she played the role of a German woman named Irma aunt to Emma.
